Review Notes:
The other two maduro sizes have been very good, but this one is just weird. Maybe it's a bad box at my local store, but it has a very "unusual" maduro flavor. These also seem to need a bunch of purging and tend to run hot and a bit gritty. Not impressed.

Review Notes:
The first few edge I smoked didn't impress me, but this ebony seductress was different. Had a good flavor and mouth feel. Got a little bitter at the end but in a good way. Lotsa stogie for your $$

Review Notes:
This cigar is a good, honest smoke for the money. It is attractive and well made, but draws inconsistently on occasion. It displays nice, honest upper-middle to full flavors, white ash and good smoke. There are many nice flavors (the blend is good) however it is one-dimensional and lacks mid palette depth and complexity. By no means is this stick in the league of a properly stored Padron Anniversario, OpusX, Don Carlos or CAO MX2. These cigars consistently reward with a very complete, integrated smoking experience (attack, mid palate and long finish) that the Edge simply cannot match. It might improve with some time in the box, but no amount of time will correct an inconsistent draw. The Edge pairs exceptionally well with Mirassou's 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon (served at 56 degrees) and Santa Teresa's Rhum Orange Liqueur (aged rum). It is ideal to keep on hand for poker night, or to give to aspiring aficionados who like a good smoke. They'll be impressed and you'll save money while keeping your real gems for more seasoned visitors.

Review Notes:
I've been trying a lot of smokes lately, trying to figure out what I like. These are currently my favorite "every day" smoke. They're pretty full bodied and very flavorful, reminding me of a good espresso with hearty cedar and earthy tobacco flavors.
The sticks themselves have a solid construction, good torpedo tip, and a dark, almost black wrapper with a decent shine. They don't smell great when unlit and don't smell all that great when they are lit... but the taste fantastic and that's what matters most!
The best part of this smoke is how long the flavor lasts. I can have one at 11 in the morning and still taste it come dinner time.
The only downsides I have encountered are an inconsistent burn, requiring regular attention to keep it going, as well as encountering a couple sticks that changed flavor about halfway through. Hopefully the bad sticks are some rare exceptions.
Overall, this is a robust, hearty smoke for a more experienced smoker. If you dig maduros, try this one.
