Review Notes: Handsome cigar, very dark wrapper.Firm, and cut well, seems to be ready to smoke at 2 months in the humidor. As I lit it,I was given a very bitter taste right off the wrapper,to my lips! This dissipated, and I lit the cigar... the main flavor of the smoke was earthy..dirty rich earth.Hmm..a bit of pepper..good draw. One touch up for a run..otherwise nice burn.Flakey ash.Midway,it became more of a woodsy taste..I never found any chocolate or sweetness..just wood and earth. After that,it became bitter, and I was getting bored with it.I tried a second one a few days later, same results.I have three more, which I will let rest for a while. Not a cigar I will buy again, unless something changes with age.

"A Disappointment"

Review Notes: I've always been a fan of Rocky Patel, so when I picked up a sampler with five of these, I was excited. Unfortunately all of them were less than satisfying. Upon lighting, I could detect a bit of black pepper which mellowed immediately into some of the most rich and chocolaty notes I've ever had in a cigar. All of this was backed by a hearty earthy core. The draw was great and the burn was just fine. Unfortunately about half way through, all of these got sour and then extremely bitter. The flavor got so bad I had to throw them out. All five of these sticks were similar. They each started out so well but couldn't seal the deal. Maybe with about six months of aging that would change.

Review Notes: I loved this cigar. Great even burn and nice draw. The ash was nicely white. Flavorful to the nub. With a clean finish.

Review Notes: I bought a sampler of these with 4 sizes, the Robusto was not the best however, I don't agree with Darbarian on this one. I think it was a mild to med, and the lush smoke from these is great. I really don't care whats in them, I just smoke them. This was a very enoyable smoke. Maybe it was the Jamesons I had with it. So be it!

"Combine to and get poo?"

Review Notes: Ok, this cigar is not "poo", but I felt like rhyming. I like the name, look and construction of this cigar. I have always liked the RP 90 better than the 92, but I thought it interesting to get a blending of the two. Oddly enough, I find this cigar to be less flavorful than either the 90 or 92. I cannot help but feel that there is more going on here than a simple blending of two already proven cigar blends. I wonder if it is one of those deals where as long as there is "some" of the two tobaccos in the mix, they can call it a "fusion"? I find the blend to be far more mild than either the 90 or 92 as well. Perhaps I just do not understand all of the factors at play here, but I just don't see the RP Fusion as having the best of both worlds. Stick with the 90 or 92.
