Review Notes: This is every smokers dream to have the opportunity to wine and dine with friends and a cigar superstar, by the name of Rocky Patel. This experience just enhanced the lovely smoke that was touching my pallet. The appearance was just lovely with a silky wrapper and boxed press finish, construction was right on the mark with the foot lit and very even white ash this smoke was on its way to making the night even better. The notes of Rockys 12 year old were extraordinary with spicy and nutty notes that were not to strong and yet not to soft on the pallet. This cigar is a must try for any cigar lover and if given th chance to sit down with the maker to smoke one of his creations just makes it even better.

"Smooth and complex in flavor"

Review Notes: Even though this cigar is a bit larger than I usually prefer, I couldn't stop myself from smoking it down to the nub. My local shop hosted a Rocky Patel tasting and the 1990 Toro is what they gave me. First impression: So smooth! From light-up to the nub, it was never harsh in the least. And it also displayed a fantastic degree of complexity, with some citrus, nougat, mocha, faint sweetness and more, all intermingling and coming and going. I was so impressed I left with a fisful of various sizes of the 1990s, plus some Indian Tabac Boxers. I would make this a regular in my humi, but they're a little pricier than the Padrons I usually smoke. On the other hand, they're not exorbitant in cost, so maybe I'll end up with a box after I finish these singles!

Review Notes: old wrapper does not mean much here. Most old wrappers do not. Gimmicky. Woody Nica tobacco. good balance though--sweet

Review Notes: This cigar is one of the nicest looking cigars around. A beautiful box pressed toro. Flawless wrapper. These are also aged 12 years- which is considerably more than almost any other. This is all to say that I really wanted to love this cigar. This cigar has very distinct toast flavors and at some points, a burnt toast taste. For this reason, I dropped the flavor score a little since this was not my favorite kind of flavor in a cigar. It was a full-bodied smoke, not sure why Georgerp described as mild-medium, and held on through 2/3rds the way down. About the last 1/3 there were some large sweet notes amongst the toasty frame. The burn was great and the draw was good, but slightly tight. The finish was really good, and honestly my favorite part. The cigar actually calmed a bit in the end and had a some cream notes in and amongst the spiciness. Overall, this cigar was the fullest-bodied cigar I have had and I think that I should give it another chance with some more time in the humidor. I only gave this one a week in the humidor after I bought it.
