Review Notes:
I like rocky patel, I think he makes some decent cigars, but I'm not sure why the vintage series is rated as high as it is. Out of about the 20 different vintages i've had ('90 and '92 from different shops, sampler packs, and friends) half have a very tough draw. I like the cocoa cameroon "aged" flavor, but I just can't draw enough - way too tight. And the tough draw sometimes leads to some burn problems. The tabbaco blend is great, but the construction is usually below average, which turns me off to both vintage series. Rocky patel "fusion" which is supposed to be a blend of the two with a little something else has fixed the draw problem. When I do get a good vintage though, it's great - but those are few and far between. Not very consistent.

Review Notes:
On the 90 or the 92 that is. I have a box of '90 Torps and this box of '92 robs. I guess I lean to the '90 blend but I love this one too. Haven't pulled one of these out in probably a year and it is very similar to the last. A nice natural sweetnes, great aroma, and full flavors in a medium bodied smoke. A very satisfying stick that has a unique core that I stopped trying to figure out and just enjoy. Between the two years the '92's that I own have an edge in construction over the '90; but they are both pretty.

Review Notes:
After a long hard dissatisfying 10 hour day at my place of business, I decided to pick up my friend Rocky for a little late night relaxation. After mulling over the sweet aroma for a few minutes I spotted some vintage 92s I just had to try. They were small in size but not lacking flavor and ripe for the toking. The 92 was harsh at first, but as the flame burned, the rich cedar taste took me by surprise. The flame and ash was reminicent of liquid hot magma burning atop the fabled ring of fire. As this generation X beauty burned, the ashes hardened atop the flame, dying to be set free from the pleasure storm they had just participated in. This cigar was not meant for flavor, it was meant to make your "jewels" quench for the love of a woman's lips. In rockys line this gar is second in overall satisfaction to his REO line. Great smoke.

Review Notes:
I aged this guy at least a year, saving it until i felt compelled to smoke it. I just decided to pull it out this day and light it up... wasn't disappointed. Having smoked the Euro version churchill 90, I didn't have a great opinion of the RP vintage. Since I'm more of a medium body fan, I thought the euro version, with less ligero, would be up my ally. Nevermind that idea, the american version is a whole lot better. the 92's wrapper had a nice consistency and was constructed very well. this was a pleasure to smoke, with a subtle sweet taste that reminded me of many a honduran cigar. Unfortunately that really dominated the experience and didn't show much complexity.
