"The essence of Cedar"

Review Notes: This cigar realy captures the raw earthy flavors of rich potent cedar. It smokes with heavy notes of earth, leather- whatever you want to call it. You never loose that tingle and taste of the thick cedar sleeve, and with all the oils oozing off the wrapper, its no wonder the cedar and the cigar have married so well. Nice puro flavor, very rich med-full smoke.

"Great smoke!"

Review Notes: I found it to be great stick. When you tear off the cedar you'll find a great looking, dark and greasy tobacco. It looks better without that cedar. It's slow burning although it's not so tight (medium tighted). Medium to full bodied, great for me. I like this earthy, leather and oily(!) taste. Sweet from the very beginning till the 2/3, then more spicy (yummy! :-). One of my first and I know I'll smoke it from time to time.

Review Notes: For the prices, this is one of the best deals on the island of Cuba. The veiny wrapper hides a gem of an inexpensive smoke. The draw is usually pretty good, with losts of cedary smoke that is usually good until the last quarter. I never have draw or burn problems with these smokes.

"Excellent Everyday Cuban"

Review Notes: On the downside, all in the particular box I purchased (June01) drew a bit tight on start-up and some didn't open up by the second third of the stick. Most did though. Even the ones that stayed tight were not plugged or unsmokable, mind you... just on the tight side. Other than that, the cigar looks absolutely lovely. It has a creamy cocoa color and a smooth wrapper with a perfect cap. It burns nicely with a grey ash. Flavor profile is exactly like peterp described: slight spice giving way to cream and chocolate which finishes up by adding a little leather and a tough of cinammon. VERY well balanced AND it gives off smoke that is almost like perfume. My wife actually LIKES the smell! An extremely interesting, obviously Cuban, medium bodied cigar that is easy to smoke for the newbie and complex enough to keep the veteran smoker interested. Dollar for dollar, it can't be beat.

Review Notes: Pretty nice cigar, not going to knock our socks off but with medium bodied habano taste. Draw and burn were good, taste was decent.
