"Decent medium priced cigar"

Review Notes: A dark, slightly box pressed cigar with a rough veiny wrapper. I found it to be a little tight causing a bit firmer draw than I prefer. The taste was nice with a chocolate taste at first blending into a spicy woodsy flavor. The finish was a bit hot for me but other than those two minor flaws this was a fine cigar.

Review Notes: A beautifully dark cigar with a somewhat dingy appearance. I was very excited about trying it, but ended up disappointed. The draw and construction were good, but the flavor was just plain dull. It reminded me a lot of the Diablo cigar I tried a few weeks ago. (That's not to say that this R&J was spicy, itís to say that the Diablo was not and that they both were pretty lousy). The main flavor was newspaper, but it had a metallic citrus note to it as well, kind of like canned pineapple. It was such a boring smoke that I tossed it 2/3's of the way through and went to Taco Bell to get the burning paper taste out of my mouth. In short, this smoke was much too mild and one-dimensional, especially for a maduro. I will not be wasting any time with this one in the future.

"Needs some humidor time"

Review Notes: This was the first RYJ other than a churchill that I have tried. Construction was good, draw was fairly easy and the burn was decent. The flavor was a little too woodsy, although it changed a little towards the last half of the cigar. This stick was milder than I am used to with the churchill maduro, I have a five pack and plan to let the others age a month or two before trying another.

"Flat"

Review Notes: Bought about 10 of these when they came out - should have tried one first. Not bad but just flat. Predominantly Nicaraguan filler I guess but not the flavor you get with some other cheaper brands. Burnt a bit unevenly. I save these for freinds who come over without a cigar!

"One of my favorites!"

Review Notes: Great smoke! I agree that they can be a tad tight, but that is the only negative I found. Great construction otherwise, and good burn qualities. The chocolate and citrus flavors are there in a smooth (especially for a maduro), medium bodied smoke. No harshness other than the very common one at first light.
