Review Notes: Smoked one of these from 10/02 last weekend. I'm not disappointed in my inability to wait. Even with no time to stabilize, this stick really performed. Wonderful prelight aroma, unlike any other box I've had before. Stick burned like a champ until final third. Wonderful woody smoke with a distinct salty aftertaste...again, unlike any other marca I've tried. I can't wait to try one after it has settled!

Review Notes: This was a very nice cigar. The wrapper was one of the ugliest I've seen with several water spots and some slight discoloration, but the flavor was great. It tasted of general Cuban tobacco with a dusting of white pepper, but it also had a character that I can't adequately put into words. In short, I enjoyed it. In most cases, I'd probably reach for a Bolivar or Partagas over this cigar, but I would definitely fire one up every once in a while.

Review Notes: OK looking cigar that switched from medium to full bodied. Taste was soil.spice.peanut-butter (you heard me). More tobacco flavor came in as the cigar went along and the character of the spice flavor changed throughout. The draw was great and gave up a lot of smoke. The burn needed attention from start to finish. This was a strange and surprising cigar that I really enjoyed.

Review Notes: I have a couple of these sitting in my humidor that I have been gifted, but had yet to light one up...big mistake. A friend gave me one yesterday at a herf, and it was a great smoke! Had that little twang to it that reminded me of Partagas flavor, medium bodied and very smooth. Perfect draw and burn in much less than ideal smoking conditions. I will definitely be pulling these out on a regular basis.

"One of my all-time favorites."

Review Notes: I cracked open a box of 02 SLR A's tonight, and boy am I glad I did. One of my all-time favorites, this cigar started off with hints of cedar. About 1/3 the way through, very nice and welcome hints of tobacco came to join the party. Yum. Then out of nowhere, loads of spice come barging in to let me know I needed to strap in for the rest of it. Needless to say, my fingers are still recovering from the burn after nubbing this bad boy. The construction was flawless. I tried to ash it after about an inch of lovely silver and black ash formed and I couldn't! The wrapper was a very attractive dark caramel color. Not too oily either. Draw was perfect in my opinion and the aroma of the smoke was intoxicating. This cigar will never let you down!
