Review Notes: For 6 bucks, I didn't expect as good a cigar as this was. I'm not a "construction caring" guy, but the burn was straight as could be -- with a ghost-white ash that lasted past the halfway (yes, really, 3 inches of rock-solid ash!) point! For the taste, I'd say a somewhat spicy (not sure if a "salty black licorice aftertaste" makes sense, but that's almost exactly what it is) overtone with hints of chocolate intermixed. VERY rich, full finish that I can't stop raving about! Not quite as full- bodied as the wrapper made me believe (more medium than anything), but it is full- flavored to me. I've been saving for a few boxes, as these are GREAT off the truck, but even better with age (i've only been able to suffer 3 months of aging before giving in and smoking them...) Can't stop raving about this, but if I carry on any longer, you'd be apt to grab a white jacket and place me in a padded room...

Review Notes: Amazing that this cigar costs only $6+. Beautiful reddish-brown wrapper reminiscent of many habanos. Tastes like many habanos too. So smooth, so flavorful. Taste is a spicy sweet chocolate with a nice long finish. What a work of art inside & out. Complaints are very few. I don't often smoke toros so this particular vitola had a very loose draw for me and it was difficult for me to keep it burning well. That being said, construction is still excellent - firm and straight. Highly recommended. I truly appreciate SLR pricing this where they did and not much higher, which they could have. I can't wait to try the Churchill.
