Review Notes:
First, a humble and honest disclaimer to mr Sigar: Sir, I mean no ill-will nor disrespect! But, it's hard (for me, and IMHO only!) to read the reviews given to the El Morro and El Fuerza without commenting on the possibility of getting a bad boxx, maybe even a counterfeit! I unknowingly bought a counterfeit box of La Punta's a couple years ago, and I was astonished at the "quality" of the labels, packaging and even warranty stickers...even had the UV watermark...but, when you lit it, you knew. Anywa, I am certainly not saying these are the best smokes out there, but The El morro, for instance, has, to me, such a great depth to it, as well as consistancy from box to box, that I wish I could send you one of mine to see if you felt the same way! One thing I really like about the El Morro and El Fuerza as well is the QC that can be lacking in some of the older, more established brands...color matching, for instance, is usually spot-on, and although I usually prefer a bit stonger smoke, I find that the depth as well as the multi-dimensional tastes and notes that keep these two smokes interesting. This is an aside only, but I also like the one of a kind size formats of these two...the El Fuerza was the only 5.5 X 50 Cuban cigar out there until this year, I believe, and the El Morro, with the length of a Churchill, but the girth of a Double Coe makes for a great smoke. (I am serious about sending you an El Morro, if you want to email me at dlctwice@yahoo.com) One more quick note...there are seemingly still many boxes of these two vitola as well as the La Punta available from many dealers in good vintages and good factories. The factory codes of KMM and EAR are usually great, and I'm always surprised to see how many boxes from these factories are still available in the '03 vintage, and even from '01! Okay...sorry for the long winded note, and, no, I don't have stock in the company!
