Review Notes:
Well, it was better than the lack luster Extra Fuerte, but still was rather unimpressed. The cigar had a rather typical maduro flavor slightly sweet, earthy, and a hint of spice to it. Couldn't smoke the last 2 inches or so; it just got too bitter. But for the price point it ain't bad if you like a maduro.

Review Notes:
having read the prior reviews, i must say that this cigar lives up to all that has been said about it, at least the positive things. i think it all comes down to flavor preference and pocketbook for me. this blend has a particularly good flavor to me, without the accompanying bitterness so often found in cigars in the same price range. the construction and burn were perfect, i only ashed four times. this is the first of a box of ten i bought in june 09. my recent box of 20 cost $44 at j.r. at that price, these are an affordable yet extremely pleasurable way to spend an hour and a half. not that the more subtle nuances of a more expensive cigar aren't nice, but these straightforward maduros will always have a place in my cooler. those looking for the experience only $8+ cigars will provide should probably look elsewhere.

Review Notes:
I've had a few of these so far and I keep coming back for more. Smooth, flavorful, and spicy all the way through. My favorite Maduro hands down.

Review Notes:
The Sancho Panza maduro has things I like. First, it's maduro, but as we know just because a person likes maduro doesn't insure anything as different makers interpret this "all over the board". Next this stick is not just a good size, but it's box pressed too and it's a fairly firm box pressed stick too boot. Finally, it's priced low enough that there is no resistance to trying it since even if you don't particularly like it you won't feel as if you've been taken. So far so good.
The construction was good with the cap being a bit fragile for punching as I tried that first and soon realized it would be better to clip as it started to unravel a bit. No problem as I removed a small bit of the cap and settled in to what I will call a real value in maduro sticks. As for the appearance it was dark, matte, and fairly smooth looking with just a bit of visable veining. It lit easy and the ash was a nice light grey. The grey ash held nice and I decided to flick it since it seemed to burn just a bit quick, hoping to avoid wearing ash in lieu of seeing how long I could get it to hold. The burn was, as said, a bit on the faster side for a box pressed cigar, but it was nicely even. I would guess it may be a bit looser than some, yet it was not too loose and I like the feel of this cigar in my mouth.
The taste was enjoyable. I noticed a mocha flavor which was something I thought I'd get just smelling the cigar prior to lighting it. I'd say that other tastes included a faint sweetness and a coffee like flavor too. Spice and nut toatiness was extremely light yet sometimes noticeable...even less woodiness.
I have to say I like this stick and at the price even more so. Nothing earth shattering here except that it delivers nicely at a very low price. A cigar you can enjoy yourself, gift to anyone without any shame and keep a box on hand without breaking the bank. A clean finish is noted and something I would not hesitate to recommend.

Review Notes:
What a find. This cigar is well known now amongst afficianados as being one of the best maduro buys out there. Very tidy construction, great flavor. A bit of a smoke bomb when lit, kind of like holding a cheap firework. However, tasty flavors of chocolate and caramel, smooth draw, and cappucino-like smoke. Will not "stink" up a room. For the money, this is as about a good of a deal that can be had for maddies. Will easily out perform many maddies that cost 2-3X as much. I will buy more, and this is my "house cigar."
