"Mild and Easy Smoke"

Review Notes: I'm smoking my first Sol Cubano and it's easy to like because it is a smooth and mild cigar. Perhaps not too interesting for those seeking medium to full bodied smokes, but if you seek mild there's not much to complain about here. Theres the lighter tones of expected cedar/leather with just a bit of sweet salty nut like flavor. Not that one note toasted cashew taste of a a macanudo which many love as well as hate. So I'd call the taste: mild and easy with enough complexity to make the cut for a regular rotation smoke...Especially at the price these are available at. By the way, construction is flawless with a slightly textured Connecticut shade wrapper (not the smoothest looking one and it may have had a dark small spot or two), the roll was great as it burned evenly providing copious amounts of smoke even new out of the box, and finally the ask was a fairly nice white. Speaking of the ash it held fair, not like a Padron because it's much looser I believe, but definitely O.K. For the prices these are available at they are a safe bet. They would make a great cigar to gift because they're quite decent and relatively inexpensive for the quality of smoke.

"Rotten batch"

Review Notes: I got a five of these out of a 15 pack including 5 Maduro, and 5 Sumatra. While the Maduro and Sumatra taste great, I found the Natural to be very bitter and nasty. After the first stick I thought maybe they were just dry so I let them soak in my humi for while. Needless to say two months later after the third try it was just as bitter as the first. I threw the remaining two away. While I prefer the Sumatra, my previous experience with the Natural wasn't nearly this bad. I'm hoping it was just a bad batch but I'm reluctant to give them another try. Right now, I'm Sumatra all the way....

"Ok Conn."

Review Notes: This was a good Conn. Cigar. I got it in a 5 pack bid on Cigarbid.com for $9. I wonder if CB sells the ugly cigars. This Sol's wrapper was very vieny. Nevertheless, it lite up good and the burn was very good too. The first 1/2" was a little harsh but it evened out just fine. The burn was very good, maybe touched up twice. The ash held really well too, well past 2" twice. I nubbed it. I used a bullet punch cut. No hangover, but some after taste. This was a good cigar just not the prettiest.

"Smooth spice"

Review Notes: I've never been very good at discerning the various flavor nuances that a lot of other commentators speak of. I usually just like the flavor, or not. But this cigar hit me with a very distinct taste of cinnamon, but in a soft, not sharp way. Very smooth, rich smoke, even burning and never hot ( and I tend to work a cigar, puffing more often than most). One of the best smokes I've had out of at least a hundred different cigars I've tried.

Review Notes: I got these in a sample pack and liked these best vs Sumatra and Maduro. A spicy, smooth medium cigar with impeccable burn quality and ash. I actually looked forward to the next one. I do not see these low priced for very long. Beautiful smoke for the price.
