Review Notes: This is a very very good smoke, but on the costly side. I did think is was worth it though. I just wish it was cheaper so I could smoke more of them. Flavors of toasted wood and very nicely spiced. I could also pick up earth and leather. It's a full bodied smoke but not overpowering. Construction was perfect on the ones i've had. Excellent ash also. Recommended.

Review Notes: If you like Padron you will like Pepin. This is a little twist from the Tainos... theres more complexity here and its nice. very nub-able with a dry cedar backing and dashs of sweetness. One of the must-trys from Pepin and Tatuaje

"Tastes Like A Pepin Garcia Smoke"

Review Notes: I find all Pepin Garcia made smokes to be very similar. If you like Tatuajes or any of the Pepin Garcia line then you will like this. It is a bit milder and creamier, but basically the same as the rest. Full side of medium, good burn, solid tobacco flavor. A bit young tasting (all but the Cojonu taste young to me).

Review Notes: Sitting on these for just under two years now. As noted by others, this is more easygoing than other Tats. The biggest difference is that this one has a woody core, where others are more leathery. Gets buttery/creamy around halfway as cocoa begins to move to the forefront. The final third adds some earth and considerable oomph. That stinking little band doesn't come off without a fight, though. By the end, it reminded me most of the Cuban RyJ Churchill Tubo.

Review Notes: I had to put a second review in for this smoke. I just had one tonight and boy what a difference from the last few. The box date is much more recent, so thanks Pepin for the drastic improvements. It started out very woody like all Tatuajes, but then it changed drastically. The "to loose" issues were gone and this stick was rolled perfect. Firm yet steady draw all the way. The wood had a very rich spanish cedar taste to it. Also from the start it had a wonderful earthy finish. At the half there was alot of leather and spice, which changed into some pepper and nutmeg notes. So complex. It was similar to a Partagas Series D #4, but because of the ring gauge this stick had more intensity to it. You really taste the wrapper with this stick and the 47 ring gauge. I can't believe I am saying this but I really enjoyed this cigar more than the last Cuban Partagas that I had. It had more flavor and it wasn't even aged yet. If you can get your hands on these ($260-299 a box) it is well worth it. Treat yourself ASAP.
