Review Notes: Seeing as I love smoking the VS Vintage, I thought I'd expand my view a bit by purchasing a 5-pack of these Triple Corojo's from cbid. The appearance was very nice, as with most Victor Sinclair cigars. It has a light brown wrapper that glistens with oils, a rich looking label that sports a gold and purple color, and a purple label on the foot end of the cigar to match. It had a couple of veins running throughout the cigar. The pre-light aroma wasn't what I expected. I've never smoked a corojo cigar before, but I know I didn't care for the barnyard smell that this one gave off. It lit easily and the draw was as easy as expected from a Victor Sinclair. It started off kind of harsh, with lots of bitterness, but I thought I'd smoke it through and let it get to the good part. About halfway into the cigar the taste was still the same. Seemed like a straw/grass taste on the palette. I just couldn't do it anymore. I smothered it out and threw it away. I still have these in my humidor, which have been sitting there for a few months now. Maybe with more time on them they will get better. Hopefully.

Review Notes: A decent cigar for an everyday smoke. Shows a medium brown and smooth wrapper. Has a solid but light feel. Lights very easily and produces lots of smoke. Good overall construction with a consistent burn and easy airy draw. Burn gets a tad wobbly but self-corrects with only 1 touch-up needed. Ashis a bit loose and flakey with a dark gray color. Flavor was medium bodied not full with a fair amount of spiciness and woody notes. However some background notes of grassiness and hay are a bit unwelcome. Remmained fairly smooth until the last 14 when some heat and harshness began to appear. Not bad but not a real winner.

Review Notes: I lost on this gamble. This was one of the worst cigars I've ever smoked, I kept waiting for a miracle that never happened. Very harsh taste like grass and yard leaves. Burn was uneven. About half way through this I stomped it out with anger. VS just puts candy sprinkles on a turd with their fancy bands, but you can't deny that it's still a turd. VS you fooled me once, but never again. I have four of these left, I think I will put them in my yard spreader and use them for fertilizer. I would be to embarrassed to give them to my loser buddies.

Review Notes: VS has repackaged their line up with new fancy labels that look great. VS has always had a nice presentation. Now if they would only spend that effort and money on their product itself. This is one boring, bland smoke. How anyone could make an all corojo blend this dull is beyond me, but, they did it.

Review Notes: I bought a box of robustos from CI, very inexpensive, and I received a free 8-cigar sampler. The sampler contained 2 torpedoes of each VS brand. I smoked the torpedo first. The VS Triple Corojo is not the best looking cigar, it’s rustic looking, but the stick is rich, incredibly aromatic, it leaves a long after taste (which I enjoy), burns fairly even; I had to touch it up once. I can’t emphasize the aroma enough; it had a kind of perfumy bouquet, the amount of smoke was perfect. The wrapper is thick and leathery to the touch. The flavor was very spicy, full flavor, med-full strength. A must try, if you like Corojo cigars, like I do. I will try the robusto next; maybe there will be a difference in flavor and smokeability.
