Review Notes: I now have one remaining in the humi. One smoked on the 4th the other on the7th. Both were pretty bad. This time they stayed lit but the taste was almost bitter…nothing like a smooth, sweet tasty maduro should taste. Nothing even close to the reviews written by others. I threw the last one out before it was half way complete. One more left, will give it a few months and try again.

Review Notes: I feel like I should be writing a better review after reading some of the others but….it ain’t gonna happen. At least not this time around. I lit this monster up last night around 5:00 and at 6:30 it was on its sixth touch up. Every time the ash, which was sort of grey and ugly fell off it felt like I had to relight the thing. It’s just to long for my taste and attention span. A robusto would be better suited to my style but, this isn’t the cigars fault. Here’s what I think. First, it’s the best smelling cigar I have encountered in quite a while. The taste was spicy at first then mellowed out to a pretty smooth smoke and for the most part stayed that way the rest of the hour and a half. Kinda of boring. Not enough smoke, did not burn at all even and appearance wise was veiny and not that well constructed. One of the reasons for the disappointment was the difference in the cigar vs. the incredible packaging. In the box they screamed to be lit up. Once lit that’s all I kept doing…too much maintenance. I’m not ready to throw in the towel on these quite yet…too many of you like them and that can’t be a coincidence. I have three more remaining in the humi and will see what time does to make this a better experience.

"Very nice smoke"

Review Notes: This is a great cigar! I do not agree with the idea that the wrapper was dyed as a real maduro wrapper will stain your fingers if it is of a dark variety (I took a tour of a tobacco plantation in the DR and had the same thing happen when holding a maduro leaf that was ready to be rolled). This cigar will take you a good long while to get through and you do need to attend to it more than most cigars this size. However, the price and the payoff are worth it. Very smooth with a good amount of smoke.

Review Notes: I'm finishing up this cigar as I write this. First things first: this thing required more attention than a three year old. Frequent relighting and touching up spoilt this cigar, and that's a pity. It's got a good flavour and, contrary to its appearance, it isn't actually painfully strong. Rich, yes, something that'll take your head off? No. Oh, and the wrapper is dyed. I know this as my fingers are black. This, too, has not pleased me. So are they worth buying? Yes, I think so. I'm hoping the construction issues on this one are the exception, not the rule. The flavour is good, if one dimensional. And they're cheap. Something to celebrate with? No. Something to take golfing? Yes.

"Sheep in wolf's clothing"

Review Notes: this s.o.b. looks wicked, but the taste is medium at its strongest. The wrapper is too dark, 'cause it's dyed (came off on my fingers). They can be found cheap, and then they are worth your time, but not at full price.
