"Decent smoke-great for the $$$$"

Review Notes: Got a sampler free with a humidor purchase. Appearance was good, but the wrapper looked a bit dry (even though it was not). Filler seemed a bit loose at the beginning, but then firmed up. Burn was even throughout. Flavors were rich and peaked about halfway through the stick. Intensified a bit as it went. Disclaimer-it is 70+degrees the day after Thanksgiving in northern Maryland. Sitting in the sun on my front porch not working. These conditions may effect my rating.

"Not a bad smoke"

Review Notes: I got a good deal off of CD for a Victor Sinclair sampler - seemed extraordinarily given the 7+ rankings and while I'm not blown away - pretty happy with the deal. This gar has a nice peppery taste with notes of smooth sweetness and other complexities throughout...mine was a bit veiny and i had very mild problems with the flow and have been using my drill gun lately , especially, on a bomb , like this gar - and all seemed to work out -- enjoyed the final corona sized end - the most. great deal for the $$ and as good as many $4-5 stogies.

"A really special smoke."

Review Notes: This was my first sun grown experience, and it made me a sun grown lover. The flavor and aroma are truly unique, rich, a bit sweet, mellow, otherwise hard to describe. I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar. A tip for BWJ : test the draw before lighting up, and if it is stiff, try running a 3/32 drill a couple of inches in through the cut or punch you've made in the cap. 9 times out of 10 this improves the draw for the whole cigar. I suspect it has something to do with additional compression at the cap end when the cigar is rolled and the cap closed up. If it works for you too, you might even end up liking 8 inchers.

"Sun Grown Value"

Review Notes: It's been a couple years since I last reviewed this large sun grown stick. It wasn't quite as spicy as I remember and the last third was somewhat bitter. However, for the price this is a gorgeous cigar that is well built and attractive. I didn't experience the draw difficulties that plagued three of the last four raters. I''ll shut up and just let my rating numbers speak for themselves.
