Review Notes: They started selling these off a year or two ago and I considered them an average smoke for cheap. Searching for my morning smoke I ran across another Red Velvet. Man what a change. If DE was looking for a real cigar with multi-dimensional flavors they should have waited for a couple of more years to release this one. Opening with a strong coffee flavor it seemed the same as I remembered but after an inch or so it began to develop flavors and complexity I have not experienced before. Notes of sweet spices, cherry, coffee, and creamy cocoa develop toward the second third and become more prominent. I am very surprized and pleased and if the others I have are this good I only hope I can find a box of these mild mannered delicious cigars. I can't think of any thing bad to say except they do require some touch ups and look a little rustic.

"Forgot about 'em."

Review Notes: I found a deal on a fiver a while back and lost track of them until today. The flavor doesn't develop too much until the second half. The first half builds from a mild/medium straight forward flavor to a sweeter and better taste in the second half. Approaching the 4 inch mark some licorice joins the sweetness and the body reaches a spicy medium body. Not bad for less than $1.50.
