Review Notes: Very dark, sweet scented wrapper. Slight rip in wrapper due to ill placed label glue. Handsomly rolled cigar even though it is of the ugly perfecto shape. Quality density. Uneven burn from the start. This eventually corrects with minor attention. Boldly flavored. Dense, heavy smoke. Certainly starts off with a bang. Not for the faint of heart. Roasted pecan flavors with a slight bitterness. Like the husk of a pecan. Close to harshness through first inch. Allowed the cigar to rest for two full minutes. Nutty flavor fades after one inch mark. Becomes almost bland. The smoke is smooth, however, and there is plenty of it. Just nothing special. Quite average. The ash is well formed and evenly rippled through 1.5 inch. Flavors mellow and merge at 2 inches. Citrus and pine nut. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Similar to that of a grapefruit rind. Ash holds almost to the half way point. Pairs well with scotch. Cedar becomes the most prevelant flavor at 1/2 smoked cigar. Very powerful nicotine. Minor hints of vanilla. Second half starts with fading notes of cedar, increased flavor of vanilla beans. Not sweet like vanilla extract, but the actual bean. The cigar has become quite proud and strong. Certainly an evolving cigar. There is a supprising sweetness that shows itself in the finishing stages of this cigar. It is a spicy sweet, like slow cooked squash with thyme. This has been on of a handfull of cigars that I have actually nubbed! Quite a ride.
