Review Notes: Over the last six months I have smoked three of these cigars. The first one, with only a few weeks rest, was a very forgettable smoke; dirty leather is the only way to describe it. Towards the middle it mellowed out quite a bit but then went right back to nasty. The second was a little better but not much. Spicy to start off with a more distinct tobacco taste not as reminisced of the dirty leather tasting first stogie. Last night I tried the third one which has improved greatly. With a peppery start this cigar mellowed out almost immediately, the aroma was very nice and the taste was more of a smooth cocoa/coffee for the first ĺ of the cigar before turning a little bitter. This stick produced a tremendous amount of creamy smoke! As with every Gurkha I seem to light up, this cigar had an uneven burn and construction (wrapper) problems. Sometimes I think all the bands on Gurkha products are placed strategically to keep the cigar from falling apart. All in all I was pleased with the third one in this line. I have three more remaining and will space smoking them out accordingly. If this trend continues, six months down the line I may have found a really well rounded friend. Then, all Iíll have to do worry about should patience and the lofty price. Way to expensive.
