Review Notes: Don Alejandro Robaina (founder of this great brand) has a tremendous amount of tobacco experience, and it truly shows. There is a certain air of luxary about this cigar, from the beautiful dress boxes to the detailed bands; yet the true beauty is in the cigar itself. The wrappers are beauties, and will shine with oils when stored properly over time. The draw is consistent, and the craftmanship is very good. Notes of coffee, chocolate, and burnt almonds float around in this well balanced, medium bodied cigar. If you like the flavors of the Famosos, then you will love the Don Alejandro (Churchill) which is basically a rollercoaster ride of similar flavors. The Famoso is one of the better robustos on the market today; and will certainly set a standard if the quality and consistency continue with this relatively young brand.
