Review Notes: Henry Clays have been a favorite of mine for more than 10 years now. Beautiful, oily wrappers contain a hearty, peppery taste. Many dislike the wrappers, considering them to be full of veins, and often the cigar itself is somewaht irregular in shape. I think these things add to their character, as the final judgement lies in the taste. There is not a huge amount of complexity to these cigars...They are sort of "in your face" stogies that contain a lot of core tobacco tastes surrounded by distinct pepper notes throughout. The Toro format allows a longer cooler smoke, as well as ample flavor. The draw is consistently good, and they burn well with few corrections needed along the way. The 'bang-for-buck' value is tremendous, and the rich history of this brand (once produced in Cuba) is worth looking into. A great 'everyday' cigar.
