Review Notes:
I have a few 5-packs of these that have been sitting in my humidor for a year or so, and finally decided to pull on out. I enjoy most Gurkha / K. Hansotia lines, so I don't know why I waited so long to try these, too many other cigars I guess.
At any rate, I clipped the head w/my Palio cutter, toasted the foot w/my Colibri torch and away I went.
After the first puff, I knew this was going to be an excellent cigar. I haven't smoked one OTT, and don't believe they've even made these for a while, so I suspect they all have some age on them, but what a great cigar !!!
Flavors of toasted oak, with a hint of red wine (reminds me very much of a well aged Purple Band Gurkha Ancient Warrior!), very creamy and very, very refined. Wow what a pleasant surprise, so much so I went to order some more and see their now discontinued and going for a mere $2.50/stick.
No wrapper issues, perfect burn, solid 2" ash, and bellows of smoke. Buy them while you can, I'm sure these will be gone before the years end.
