Review Notes: This cigar had a beautiful, dark Dominican wrapper which was very oily and had lovely sheen. The draw was a little firm, but not enough to warrant a 2nd cut. The burn was perfectly even and the ash was long and beautiful. Only ashed 3x throughout. Flavor was much more complex than other Gurkhas, which all seemed to consist of a cedary/woodiness. This one had a rich, earthy core with notes of coffee-bean and cocoa-butter on the finish. Finish also lingered longer than the other Gurkhas. This cigar had just enough spice to keep it interesting and was medium-full bodied. Tried to nub this one, but it went out at last 1/4 inch. This cigar reminded me alot of a Padron in the flavor makeup. It was satisfying and just strong enough...but not overpowering. I would still consider this a smooth cigar. At the MSRP price of $13, I would not be buying these cigars, or anywhere near that price. I paid $2 a stick on cigarbid (Best of Gurkha Sampler). This cigar is certainly worth $5 or even $6 in my book.
