Review Notes: Measuring in at 5.25x44 or 48, this cigar was a Colorado colored parejo with very small veins and a few small green watermarks on the wrapper and the skin was graced with some shiny patches of oil. There were some small tears where the band was removed and a small oval shaped hole at the foot. The off center quadruple cap was a bit pointed and canted to one side, but the roll was firm and even. The cap clipped evenly and I was treated to a very dry and cedary pre light flavor which was dusty in nature and evoked age. The initial light bodied flavor was effervescent and easy going with a Dominican style of light spice and a hint of floral harmony. The ash was uniformly light colored all the way to the core and solid in consistency. The cigar burned razor sharp and even all the way through and delivered a perfect draw with every puff. Large mouthfuls of the flowery smoke appeared on command and the smoking experience was quite pleasant. A small amount of softening occurred as it burned, but it was not disturbing. Coupled with a new bottle of Blackjack Ranch reserve chardonnay, the cigar was a nice match. It was a mild cigar with a satisfying complexity for being so light in strength. The finish was evasive and thin with just a hint of dish soap and a woodiness that was more reminiscent of mahogany than Spanish cedar. The aroma was equally light and lilting with just a bit of spice and freshness. Overall this would be a great mild cigar for early in the day. Its medium bodied flavor and tight complexity would be well matched with an English tea or some toast and preserves, and I would not hesitate to fire one up at breakfast or as the first cigar of the day. Recommended.
