Review Notes: This is my first cigar review, but I've been lurking on the site for a few months. I got this La Herencia in a large sampler and it's pretty obvious this was one of the bargain cigars that were tossed in to round out the collection. Construction, draw, and burn were great. I had no issues with the wrapper or cut, the draw was great, and the solid, white ash held firm. In fact, I only ashed the cigar twice. No corrections were required and it was a decidedly low maintenance smoke. However, the flavor and aftertaste were simply underwhelming and nothing made up for that. The first half yielded a fierce pepper flavor over a base of wood. Pepper tastes faded in the second half and a leathery flavor settled in. None of these provided a good aftertaste and I had to grab a beer to occasionally cleanse it from my palate. It was a cheap stick that I might smoke in a setting where I'm not really looking for flavor, but I won't be buying it again. This was resting in my humi for a month at 70/67%.
