Review Notes: This was an instant favorite. Everything about it was great. The construction is gorgeous and sturdy, with plenty of life and a nice chocolate-brown wrapper. The draw was perfect from a punch-cut and never changed at any stage. I found the body to be medium, and the taste to be deep and manageably complex. The temperature regulated itself at medium, and the smoke was just right not too billowy, and not to thin. It allowed me to change the pace several times, and stuck to its original mission - Operation: Enduring Deliciousness. This is the type of flavor that can be enjoyed anywhere and in nearly any situation, and one of the better second-hand fragrances, which could draw appreciation at an emphysema-awareness rally. I had about 30 of these in my personal humidor at home, and upon coming home from a 16 day business trip, I discovered that the exterminators had not only helped themselves to my humidor, but they had also left it open. In the winter, with the help of the radiator, my apartment resembles a dehydration laboratory, with the relative humidity hovering somewhere near 3-4%, a far shot from the 70% in the carefully regulated humidor. Needless to say, nearly all of the cigars had dried so quickly that their wrappers split, burst, unraveled, and even turned to flake. In the middle of the massive Cigarmageddon , I found the supply of Petrus, barely holding on, but all perfectly in tact. After several months of carefully nursing them back to health, they are as good as ever. Lessons learned: Buy the Petrus Fortus Aejo and lock your humidor.
