Review Notes: A nice smoke. Box code LKV 1/05. Fairly plain wrapper with medium veins. Solid construction without soft spots. Nice prelight aroma. Easy light. Smooth draw. Required 2 relights but burned fairly evenly throughout the whole stick. Gray ash. Started with a medley of wood and cream, to which was introduced notes of mild leather and nuts. In the middle third, a cedary note emerged as the dominant flavor from the woody melange. The last third, which was the most complex and flavorful, combined a slightly tangy note as well as herbal elements to the wood and cream. In all, this almost 2 hour medium bodied smoke was fairly typical of the HdM flavor profile, which I enjoy. I did not smoke it with an accompanying beverage, but it would pair well with coffee or light bourbon, in my opinion.
