Review Notes: A reprise review for me from a cab I purchased with box code NJP 9/04. This robusto sports a rich, brown wrapper with minimal veins. The traditional triple cap is present. Hefty in the hand, it's construction seems excellent, with a firmness and resilience that appears spot on. Easy light. Good draw. Even burn, though required 2 relights, which may be attributable to the fact I was talking whilst I smoked it. Gray black ash. Started with white and black pepper and spice. The first third brought flavors of grass, vanilla, cocoa, and a hint of milk chocolate. The middle third saw notes of soil, berries, grass, and barnyard hay. The last third continued with the traditional Cohiba grassy flavor with a hint of plum and a mild "twang". All in all, this full bodied smoke appears to be coming along nicely. An enjoyable robusto, with the potantial to be one of the best, I would say, though, that it still needs more time to show it's true colors.....

Review Notes: An expensive but tasty smoke. Smooth milk chocolate wrapper with minimal veins. Construction felt solid with no soft spots and just the right amount of "give". Nice prelight aroma. Easy light. Smooth draw. Gray-white ash. Tons of rich, creamy smoke. The burn was an issue for me despite ideal storage conditions in that it canoed on one side for over half the cigar, demanding touch-ups with both saliva and the lighter, though no formal "relight". Started with traditional Cohiba flavors of medium tobacco and grass. This foundation was present thoughout the entire stick. In the middle third, notes of vanilla and a very light dusting of cocoa was noted. In the last third, the grassy note became more prominent and the tobacco flavor became more "toasted". All in all, this one hour medium-to-full bodied smoke was enjoyable, thought the burn issues detracted somewhat from the overall experience. There is definitely some Vitamin N here, as I had a buzz by the end of the stick. It is expensive for what it is, which is a given, but still a pleasure to smoke - even though it won't make it into my regular rotation.
