Review Notes: A nice "dog walker" from Cuba. This junior sized stick sported a slightly mottled rich brown wrapper with mild-to-medium veining. Densely constructed, firm in the hand, without any soft spots. Easy light. Firm draw. Gray-black flakey ash. Started with tobacco and white and black pepper. The first third laid down a backdrop of earth on which leather, mild cedar, and black cherry notes played out. Tunneling was also noted on one side that persisted to the halfway point (despite storage at 63 RH). The middle third brought a toasted tobacco flavor with hints of barnyard hay. The last third was mostly earth, spice, and cedar. All in all, this 40 minute smoke was pleasant and enjoyable, albeit tannic. This was not unexpected given its box code SVF 9/05. The dense construction, firm draw, and presence of tunneling detracted somewhat from the experience, but that could be overlooked somewhat by its flavor. Makes a great dog walker. Smoked without any accompanying beverage.
