Review Notes: When I first picked up this beautiful Petit Corona with its rich, natural java TBN wrapper, I was a bit concerned: The foot looked dry and the wrapper (which seemed as if it should have been at least slightly oily, although it wasn't) looked like it might come undone halfway up the cigar. The endcap was a bit smaller than usual for this size cigar, so clipping was a bit tricky. Prelight aroma was earthy with hints of chocolate and cedar. Intrigued, I toasted it up and found it to be a pretty harsh and unpleasant cigar. After the first ash fell however, this little wonder came alive with a full-on leather and pepper flavor. During the last third of the smoke the spiciness faded, and it finished fairly mild with the leather flavor remaining dominant throughout. Draw was consistently smooth for the entire cigar. Now, of course, I have to wonder what a year or so in the humidor will do. I'll let you know!
