Review Notes:
The couple I had were tight as far as draw, even after clipping with a cutter. The flavor reminiscent was of a CAO Italia - sort of a carmely-sweet taste - and if I had to compare them to another cigar, I'd almost say a CI Legends Purple Label, albeit with a more earthy presence then the aforementioned sticks. So, for me, these were a turn-off. For others that like this sort of flavor, it will probably attractive. And for the amount of time that I smoked them, I detected absolutely no major flavor changes.
However, what did really ruin the experience was the draw and the burn. The draw never really loosened up in either cigar, and no matter what I did, I still had an uneven burn. Touchups to fix the problem came to no avail. Aside from this, the ash held pretty firm to the end of each cigar for a time; I'd say above average in this regard. The ash was almost a brilliant silvery-white, which was perhaps one of the redeeming features of this offering.
For me, these are a total let-down. I didn't like the flavor, the draw was too tight, and they kept burning uneven. The flavor part is pretty subjective, the other stuff isn't. And for $130.00 a box, I'd have a real hard time justifying that kind of money for a cigar that performs below something like a 5 Vegas. You can get as good a cigar, if not better for about half of what these cost.
I thought it was a dud. I'll pass, thanks.
