Review Notes: It is widely understood by aficionados that the first third of a cigar is where the flavor is. It's during this first third, usually, that the palate is most open to new flavors without being influenced by anything at all. Well, let's throw that theory out the window, shall we? The Edicion de Silvio is a very plain, peppery cigar in the first third. Ho-hum. But if you muscle through that first third, you'll be rewarded with a smooth, sweet smoke (and lots of it) that's soft in the mouth and with notes of cedar through the nose. Very nice construction and appearance, but inconsistency drops the Silvio out of the upper eschelon.
