Review Notes: I'd forgotten how good the Series R maduros are. Dark and oily, this smoke does look a bit rough sometimes, and has a poorly applied cap. Mine burned somewhat questionably for the first 1/3, but after that it proceeded like a dream, with a long, white ash that clung strong and hard. Slightly sweet, earthy and with gobs of dark chocolate, this is what a maduro should be. I smoked this on an empty stomach and found it to be a stronger cigar than I remembered. Had to sit down and catch my breath!
