Review Notes: 49 days in the humi. Cost $2.55. Shows off a near coal black wrapper with the typical excessive size and # of Gurkha labels. Feel is dense and solid. Pre-light aroma of dark chocolate and leather. Almost immediately after lighting the wrapper around the cut started to shred a bit but not enough to effect the ability to smoke. Burn was good to start out but became somewhat uneven and needed a few re-lights toward the last half. Ash was a bit loose and flakey. Flavor profile overall was medium bodied, pleasant and smooth. Notes of dark chocoalte, leather and earth with some background hints of espresso and spices come to mind. Didn't get much complexity from this cigar being a bit one dimensional. The fraying cut end became a bit annoying, but I have heard that Gurkha is well known for their wrapper problems. An OK cigar but doubt I would go back for more after I smoke up my next 4.
