Review Notes: Pretty, very dark wrapper. Easy to light and maintains its burn without any work, but it burns quite unevenly and requires correction. Draw is medium-firm. Initial flavor screams of peat moss, but this quickly dies down in intensity and is joined by moderate spiciness and some earthy notes. Eventually the peat is replaced by a mild coffee flavor. The flavors are pleasant, but they are not nearly as strong as in other maduros, such as the CAO Brazilia, Macanudo Maduro and Partagas Black Label. The wrapper began to unravel about an inch into the smoke, and by the time I was 1/3 the way through cracks developed in the wrapper as well. About halfway through the smoke, the unraveling became severe, and the wrapper all but fell off. And then the binder began to unravel! The cigar fell apart right in front of my eyes! Up until that point the cigar was decent, but in the end there was a pile of tobacco for me to rate, not a cigar. I am disappointed...such poor construction!
