Review Notes: First, I would like to state just how rare these cigars are. This is a CAO one time edition. Only 21000 sticks were produced in 1999. The wrapper is a sight to behold. In any written cigar related material, the description of a "rosado" wrapper should be accompanied by a picture of one of these CAO Millenniums. The cigars are presented in numbered humidors. Each cigar comes in a shrink wrap sealed, individual box, known as a "coffin." A beautiful box pressed torpedo, with the finest rosado wrapper. The reddish hue is a sight to behold. The texture is so silky, and considering the reddish hue, one may believe it is wrapped in a ribbon. The 7 years extra aging has developed the smoke into a creamy smooth texture. 7 years has also refined the once medium to full body to a fairly mild to medium body. What a fabulous, complex taste treat. A very delicious, well refined tobacco flavor. A slight hint of sweet caramel. Overtones of toasty bread. Hints of coffee and cocoa. Bakery type spices. Some fancy mixed nuts. Fresh baked apple pie. Now I taste smores! And all accompanied by a teeny pinch of salt. An absolute delight. These were very expensive when first marketed. Humidors of 21 cigars were going for upwards of $600. I was lucky enough to score several on closeout, at a much reduced price of $10, and an original series edition humidor was added as a bonus. This is one of the very few cigars actually worth the high end price. Turned out to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. Wow! I never thought I would have a cigar that I would rate higher than a Padron Millennium, but here it is! The perfect 10. The Best Ever, Period. Absolutely fabulous. It is a shame that they are now extinct. Hey CAO ... how about a second edition? PLEASE?
