Review Notes:
This Nestor 747 reminded me very much of an Ashton Aged Maduro. It is a very nice and much lower priced alternative. The wrapper's looks leave much to be desired, almost like a stick that fell off a tree, just like the Ashton. Veins and a blotch here and there. It was smooth and oily to the touch, though. It was a very smooth and mild to medium tasty treat. I looked in Perlmans, because of the similarities with an Ashton, but the blend is completely different. Honduran and Nicaraguan, compared to the Ashton's Dominican puro recipe. Well rolled and dead even burn. Bread and bakery spices abound, with slight hints of nuts, cream, cocoa and coffee. At half the price per box, and fifty count compared to Ashton's 25, these are about 75% less in price. I see them priced on most sites that carry them at $120, but I have found them as low as $90. I got a super bargain a few years back, two boxes for $100. But they are easily worth the regular price. I dare say, as much as I love the Ashton Aged Maduro, when my box runs empty, I will probably buy another box of these Nestor 747's instead. Tom, (the latest member to review these,) must have gotten a bad cigar. Quite a shame. Please give this very nice cigar another chance.
