Review Notes: Having just reviewed the Montero torpedo maduro, I figured I would try the natural. A nice looking golden brown wrapper, just a shade lighter than the maduro, with several thin veins. The wrapper started to unravel when I cut it, but a quick swirl around in my mouth fixed it right up, and it held for the entire time I smoked it. Because of this, I deducted several Construction points, and downed the Overall Smoking Experience by one point. Great draw, dead even burn. Classic Dominican filled, Connecticut wrapper flavors of bread and nuts. Slight hints of coffee. Fairly mild, and creamy smooth. Reminds me very much of the Dominican Montecristo. Glad I gave this a try, after just smoking the disappointing maduro. Had it not been for the unraveling of the wrapper, I would have scored this with straight 9's. However, this is still an excellent cigar.

Review Notes: This is a torpedo maduro. Nothing special going on here. Just a plain good cigar. A rustic brown wrapper, more of a Colorado shade, not nearly as dark as most maduros. Rough looking, with a big and bulbous vein protruding from top to bottom. Well rolled, good draw and burn. Fairly mild to medium smooth body. Leathery, with traits of bread, nuts, and coffee. Only problem is its a bit bland, no particular flavor stands out, its just sort of a mish mosh. Not bad by any means, but nothing outstanding. I will gladly finish the box, but I certainly will not miss them when they are gone.
