Review Notes:
Let me start off by informing any and all about to read this review ... do NOT let Rocky Patel see this, or he just might jack up the prices of these 1992 Vintages. YOU MUST-MUST- MUST TRY THIS CIGAR !!! And they keep getting better with age, as I smoke one every couple of months or so. This RP 1992 is one of, if not my favorite cigar, of those which have been released in the last couple of years. A smooth and oily to the touch wrapper, light brown with perhaps a slightest red hue. Some very tiny fine veins, not even noticeable to the touch. The best construction, packed firm with tobacco, box pressed into a square, and still allowing a perfect punch and great draw. Nice even burn. I am guessing it has a medium body, but the smoke is so delicate and buttery smooth, it is mild on the palate. Such as I have only experienced in cigars that are at least twice as expensive. This, plus a taste among the finest, earns a 10 score in Overall Experience for this little sweetheart. So tasty. A complex bouquet of several light undertones, which all come together in a marvelous collection, producing a delicious flavor treat. Fruit and wood and bread and nuts and on and on and on. I know I am raving, but that is how much I am enjoying this. It is an experience that is actually reminding me of smoking a Padron Millennium. I scored several 5 packs at auction for $12. There is no way I could find anything close to these at $2.40 per smoke. But, even if one pays around $5 retail, you will not find anything close to being as fine, unless spending at least twice or three times as much. I have 5 more 5 packs left, and I still keep an eye out for a sale or deal, and would certainly gobble up some more. That is how much I love these 1992 RP robustos. Delightful.
