Review Notes: During the pre-smoke the first thing you notice about this cigar is that it isn’t your typical beauty, but don’t let that fool you. Aside from that, the wrapper gives off some nutty flavors and the foot smells strongly of coffee and coco. Another note about the construction is the absurdly small cap which is placed on this cigar, sometime in the final third mine fell off. It didn’t cause any problems but it is something to note before performing the cut. Lighting up the cigar you are greeted with a nice mixture of spice and nuttiness. Throughout the duration of the smoke nuttiness is the prominent flavor, with a nice mix of other flavors. In the final third I was hit with a stronger flavor of coffee which I had been expecting due to the strong coffee and chocolate flavors of the foot. The burn of the cigar is phenomenal with a razor sharp burn and a sturdy ash. It produces a massive amount of creamy smoke which stems from its loose draw. The draw may be looser than some prefer but it didn’t cause me any problems. Overall I would say this stick is above average, but when you consider the low price it moves up a level in my book. The Padron 3000 is a cigar which doesn’t present many complexities but it is extremely consistent and well built. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a solid cigar; it would be great for an occasion such as a round of golf or a cookout when your focus may be on other things.
