Review Notes: Picked up ten of these from a special that CI was running a while back and finally got around to smoking one tonight. Good looking stick with a smooth wrapper that was lightly veined. As with all Pepin's the cap was perfect as well. Toasted the foot and almost immediately had a 1/8 inch split form at the foot. Was a little concerned about that but it burnt right through no problem. Draw was perfect and the burn was even better. Never got wobbly or even thought about tunneling. Ash held solidly, I could easily get an inch out of it. Opened very spicy and stayed that way until after the first inch. After that it settled into earth and leather around a solid tobacco core. The finish would alternate between cocoa and coffee with slight hints of vanilla. Very complex, VERY full bodied smoke. Overall, this is perhaps the best of Pepin's own label. A very flavorful, full bodied cigar that you should definitely try.
