"These are getting worse with age."

Review Notes: Maybe I got a bad batch. I've been aging mine for over a year now. Major consistency issues within the bundle I bought. My first few were OK. My last few have gotten worse. Construction issues have gotten in the way of some nice flavor. These sticks have been smoking hot due to tough draws and plugged sticks. Remember it's a $2 stick and proceed accordingly. I think these cigars have a window of good smoking from about 3 months to 6 months or I just got a bad batch.

"Just remember it's a $2 cigar."

Review Notes: Nine more months of aging has produced (in nearly half of what's left) ugly, cracked wrappers and lumpy, swelled filler. This stick was barely smokeable last night. The wrapper and filler were downright nasty looking. Very uneven burn and a tight draw. What kept this from "becoming additional lawn mulch" was the very nice flavors of coffee, mocha, and wood, with an occasional spice blast. Instead of being mostly mild this stick flashed to medium bodied at times. Sometimes a tad harsh, but, for two bucks, I feel I got my monies worth as it took 2 hours to smoke this to the nub. From what I can tell so far, Mark is right on by mentioning smoking these within the window of their (second and) sixth month of aging. NOTE: This stick scores well in the most important categories.

Review Notes: What a difference some box time makes with these strange torpedo shaped box pressed sticks! I panned this stick over 2 months ago because they were like sucking on a plugged wind instrument. I noticed immediately that box time had softened these $2 sticks and had helped it immensely with draw, and burn. I was finally able to get to the flavor in these. GET THIS...this flavor reminded me exactly of an Aged Ashton Maduro...YES...an ASHTON! It did not have the coolness of an Ashton and the draw was still a bit tight. But the wonderful mild to Medium Ashton creaminess of nuts and slightly sweet coffee, came through. The experience lasted an 1 and 20 minutes and the aftertaste and finish was quite fuller than one might expect. Of course... stupid me... I sold off or gave away most of these sticks to my buddy Glenn. I think I will be dropping by on Glenn more often in the future for a smoke.

Review Notes: review by whiskeylip. I wanted these $2 box pressed maduro babies to be good sooooo bad. Big time construction problems. Incredible uneven burn. I re clipped the end twice cause I couldn't even get it to draw at all at first. I finally poked through an obstruction located about an inch from the draw end. She finally started to get going but would putter out. I felt like I was playing the saxophone. If you see these you'll see what I mean...very stranged toprpedo box pressed shape. There is some good flavor to these sticks you just can't seem to get at it though. Bought a bundle of 25 for $50 they are all rock hard and dry. Maybe too green yet. Will put into box and hope for the best in 2 months. I'll be back with this.
