Review Notes: A year and a half of box time produced a very bland stick this morning. Cardboard and flowers within a blah light tobacco base. Not a great way to start the day. Construction was outstanding. I have generally found these to be inconsistent much like Darbarian. Paid $2. Tread catiously.

Review Notes: Fragile wrapper. Store it en cedro. My buddy Glenn loved his. I liked mine. Four months of additional box time produced a smooth, mild to medium body with creamy cedar and nut flavors. Burn was razor sharp. Perfect draw. A pleasure to smoke. Nothing mindblowing. Just nice. Paid $2, an outstanding value. Reccomended for the mild to medium crowd.

"Tread cautiously."

Review Notes: I've smoke two of these now after 30 days in the box. A typically fragile yet smooth, tan USA/Conn. wrapper. Prelight aroma of the 5 year aged, well packed, DR, Nic., and Peruvian fillers (which the gauge said was "good" to smoke) got my juices flowing to smoke this. Foot caught nice and even. First few draws had gobs of smoke and the flavor was woodsy, slightly vanilla, and earthy. I thought I had found another Fonseca Vintage. Then before the first ash she turned completely one demensional, harsh, and bland and stayed that way for the rest of the disappointing hour and 10 minute experience. Burn was razor sharp and the draw was fine all through. These cigars have the characteristics to be fantastic and coming from Padilla I am surprised that (so far) they are not. Maybe the blend on the two I smoked was off, more aging is needed, or this is just what you get. No way I pay MSRP of $4-5/stick. At $2, (price I paid) I am not sure if this even has "yard gar" value yet. I will let the rest of the 15 pack rest a while before smoking more. Be careful with these.
