Review Notes: This was a cheap cigar and sure looked the part. Ugly, blotchy, veiny wrapper that was not expertly applied, the cap looked especially ugly. The band was as ugly as the wrapper, can you spell TACKY?. The cigars were hefty and smelled wonderful, mouthwatering. I smoked the first one, well I tried to smoke it but it was so tight on the draw that I gave up after an inch. Life is too short to try and suck golf balls through straws. Let a second one sit in a 65% humidor for a few weeks and tried that one tonight. Second one was just as ugly and had a slightly beter draw, but it was still annoyingly tight. Tasted like a watered down Piranha to me, but there were excellent flavors and the burn was crisp. It was tiring to smoke it because of the tight draw, and that was annoying. Advertising suggests this is "Cuban-esque" - buwahahaha. Maybe if you don't smoke cubans, otherwise....er....no. The price is certainly right on these, I've seen them around 35 bones for a box of 20, about double the price of the Piranhas. Course, I've never had a tight Piranha. I'll buy some more of these Fire Robustos at some point and try them again, maybe I just got unlucky with the pair that I tried.
