Review Notes: A different size than I normally smoke, the Toro was very surprising to me. Just as with the rest of this line of cigars this one is beautiful to look at. My mouth was watering when I took this one out of my humidor. This cigar is a great ring size (55), it feels very comfortable in my fingers. This line has an awesome dark shade wrapper, very small veins. And once again as with the rest of the Maduro line, these cigars has meticulous construction, the wrapper and roll are near perfection. The cap on the Toro is different from most this one had a two-piece cap, which works very nice when cutting. The draw, unlit and lit, was very easy. The burn on this cigar was perfect for the first inch, then tunneled up one side for about an inch. It eventually worked itself out near the end. The draw was good all the way through, no clogging. This cigar stayed lit very well, I was busy and had walked away from it a couple of times and it never went out on me. This cigar was very spicy on the tongue pre lighting, but mellowed after it heated up a bit. The Toro is a very rich cigar, with a spicy leathery taste, medium to full bodied. It got hot on me towards the last 2 inches, the spiciness that previously had gone away after lighting came back twice as powerful for a grand slam finish. I got a five pack of these last week off an internet auction site for $16.00, what a bargain. BOTTOM LINE: Reliable as others in the C.A.O. Maduro line, very pretty, great construction, super flavor, good price, a true winner.
