Review Notes:
I decided to try one these after dinner last night. I had gotten this cigar from the Natural Collectors Tin set. When I first saw it, I didn’t understand why it was incased in a glass tubo, but after opening it I understood. This cigar, pre-lit is very fragrant, almost too much. It is a good looking cigar, well constructed, solid wrap to it. I don’t much care for the style of cap used, but I am just picky like that. I cut this one and took a couple of draws off it, walked around with it in my mouth for a little while before lighting. The draw was fine, the perfume taste was not, kind of made me sick to my stomach. So without any further hesitation I lit up. That changed everything, the perfume toned right down and the sweetness came to life. This cigar is very aromatic, reminiscent of people smoking Backwoods cigars. The Elixir had a very sweet taste on the tongue, and also when I licked my lips. Definitely more like the Acid line of Drew Estate cigars rather than the Natural line of Drew Estate cigars. This cigar had a perfect burn, and the draw was perfect all the way through. I smoked this one down to the nub, that sweetness got a grip on me. These retail for around $5-6 each. BOTTOM LINE: If you like the Acid line you will like this, very sweet, aromatic, well put together, I don’t think I will buy more of these a little too much perfumes for me.
