Review Notes:
Wow! This cigar is huge. I tried this cigar on recommendation from the local cigar shop owner. This cigar is impressive to look at, it has a beautiful Maduro wrapper. The construction of this cigar is good, very solid for a larger ring size cigar. The Epicure has a nice aroma, earthy and cedar-ish. Be prepared, cutting this cigar is a task, most cutters don’t open enough to encompass this size cigar. I ended up having to use a knife. I took a good couple of draws before lighting, very easy. This cigar is very spicy, my tongue was alive with flavor. After lighting this one I was engulfed in smoke, a very smooth easy draw. This cigar is very robust, you have to like them full bodied for this one. The Epicure burned very nicely for the first ¾, then became slightly erratic. I had to keep after this cigar, I had to relight twice. The flavors in this increased as you get closer to the end, very spicy and peppery. It burned cool until the last 2 inches, by then my lips and tongue were tingling like crazy. My head was spinning too, this thing has a buzz factor of 10. I paid about $7.00 for the Epicure. BOTTOM LINE: A little to big for me, and too strong, very flavorful, tons of smoke, I will smoke again but only if given to me.
