Review Notes: Second night of the sales conference. Snuck out to the ski deck with the Partagas and a room glass of ice and cheap blended Scotch just before it started to rain. Had to take concessions on the Scotch. The Partagas was no sacrifice. Well. The little boutique hit me for $12 on it, but. Regardless, I huddled up under the roof overhang on the deck in the light of the staff staging area. The girls across the commons were quiet tonight and the rain spattered down. I sipped on the Scotch and slurped the cigar and had a religious experience of sorts. Nice flavorful woody cedar cocoa and that steak and sauce thing. Must be the maduro that’s giving me this steakhouse flavor I reckon. Going back over my trail of nubs I see a pattern there. Two hours and the rain let up and the stars were out over the mountains and the cigar was gone. I wandered back into the secular letdown of the hotel. One more the next night? Nope. Had to go have beers with the boss and her husband. Rats.
