Review Notes: A rough and dry colorado maduro wrapper, more colorado than maduro though. It’s mottled and ruddy, almost rust colored. Good construction from start to finish, though the wrapper turns out to be more delicate than I thought. It opens up with a rich cedary flavor with some sweet overtones. The second third picks up a little more heft and a touch of pepper. The base flavor is still very woody and the body grows to a solid medium. The final segment sticks to the program with a mellow and smooth smoke reminiscent of juniper burning in the fireplace. The aftertaste is pleasant but mild up to the end when it gets earthier and a little mushroomy. All told a great medium-bodied cigar. The retail price is a stretch, so I'll be looking for deals on these.
