Review Notes: My first experience with this cigar (7-11-05) was wonderful, my second (10-16-05) was good; this most recent one was lousy. I'm really confused about what has happened to this cigar I loved so much. There was no cream, coffee or spice to this stick like before; just some mild cedar flavors over dull tobacco. On top of the disappointing flavor, the finish was awful. It tasted just like boiled shrimp. I know it sounds strange, but thatís exactly what it reminded me of. The first two sticks I tried came from LCDH in Tijuana. This one came in the mail from Switzerland. Since I donít know the box codes, I have no way of assessing the impact that age or factory location may have had on these sticks, but I sure wish I knew more about that first one I tried. It was probably the best cigar Iíve ever had. The one I had last night was definitely among the worst. If I hadnít received a number of great Cubans from the same source in the past, I would definitely suspect that it was fake.

Review Notes: I had high expectations for this cigar after the last one I smoked back in July. (See my previous review). Unfortunately, it did not have the amazingly creamy-cappuccino flavor I enjoyed so much. I don't know if the three months of ageing changed it or if the one I had the first time was just some rare fluke, but whatever the cause, I was terribly let down. Nonetheless, this was still a pleasant smoke, just not what I was expecting. The flavor was much more tobacco-box in nature with some Cuban spiciness. Toward the middle there was a hint of the cream and cappuccino I was looking for, but it was very faint. I'll definitely try some again, but I'll always be hoping to replicate that first experience.

"Nearly flawless"

Review Notes: This is an incredible cigar! It was densely packed yet had a perfect draw. The flavor was wonderful - creamy cappuccino with nutmeg. The aroma of it burning was the most pleasant I've ever experienced. The ash was also great. It formed a perfect zebra-stripe pattern all the way down. This was truly an excellent cigar! As a side note, I have always believed that there was nothing special about Cuban cigars and that people who raved about Habanos were just doing so because ďconnoisseursĒ say that they are supposed to be better. However I can definitely say that this cigar was in a different league far above any non-Cuban Iíve ever tried. From the aroma of the burn to the creaminess of the smoke, it was amazing. A must-try if you ever have the opportunity.
