Review Notes: Let me start off by saying that I'm a big fan of Fuente Hemingways and have recently been smoking a lot of richer maduros. Recently, I decided I wanted a change of pace and went looking for something flavorful, but medium bodied. I found a winner in the Aurora 1495. After cutting the stick I wet the end with my lips. I was surprised at the sweet, spicy tingle from the wrapper... making a good first impression. It gets better from there, as the smoke burned well, producing a nice fine white ash. It has a very easy draw and produces lots of flavorful smoke. I would describe it as a bit more than medium bodied with hints of sweet spiciness, with citrus tones and some nuts. The finish is fairly long and leaves a great taste in your mouth for hours afterward. My only gripes are that these burn fairly quickly and can get a little hot if you aren't careful not to try smoking too quickly. All in all, this is a GREAT smoke that you HAVE to try.
